“Oklahoma voters will have the opportunity next year to legalize medical cannabis.
Advocates have successfully collected and submitted enough valid signatures on their initiative to legalize medical marijuana to put it to a vote in one of the nation’s most conservative states.
The proposed law – which taxes cannabis at 7% – would allow patients to possess up to three ounces of marijuana (eight in a private residence) and up to 72 ounces of marijuana edibles. They would also be allowed to grow up to six mature cannabis plants, in addition to six seedlings.”
The same measure failed to qualify in 2016 when organizers missed the submission deadline for not finishing signature gathering before the state’s deadline.
The whole OK initiative is published along with the article.
TRUCE hopes Utah and Oklahoma will be joined by other states in the thick of things next year.
