This article echoes sentiments we've held for years, and it's an excellent read that applies in spades to home state in ways we've predicted would result in the wake of the Legislature's gutting of Prop 2.

To be fair, however, while misbegotten structural features of Utah's program have exacerbated some of these problems, the root lies much deeper in the 80 years plus of federal prohibition and the misbegotten War on Drugs which makes cannabis policy in every state subject to distortions that wouldn't have existed without the demonization of cannabis.
