Briefly noted: A March 2018 report covers a promising pilot study on medicinal cannabis and fibromyalgia just completed in Israel (where else – thanks/no thanks US FDA and DEA).

The number of subjects was relatively small, but subjects were studied for period of time approaching a year.

“After commencing treatment, ‘all the patients reported a significant improvement in every parameter on the questionnaire, and 13 patients (50%) stopped taking any other medications for fibromyalgia.’ Just eight patients (30%) experienced ‘very mild adverse effects.’

The study concludes by stating that; ‘Medical cannabis treatment had a significant favorable effect on patients with fibromyalgia, with few adverse effects’.”
